Coincidentally, I was just cleaning my scatter shield  today, it's out of 
the car along with the trans tunnel.
Mine was made by "Trans-Dapt" and looks to be 3/4" thick belted rubber with 
angled steel brackets that bolt it to the frame.
 I don't think this piece is being made anymore.  If anyone wants a photo, 
email me and I'll send one.  It's actually very cool.
