[Fot] TR 4 Differentials

Handbrake manipulation is fundamental snow driving technique for kids raised
in Massachusetts and points north. Gets you going when you get stuck, but also
lets you do really silly things in big parking lots full of snow. Nearly
rolled my dads Bonneville doing that stuff. Good thing I didn't--I'd still be
grounded.

Cool thinking Hugh.

When doing this operation you should hook the cable of the free wheel to
something (like the diff housing) so that when you pull on the lever to
activate the system it actually pulls the brake not just take up the slack in
the system.

I used that technique last weekend when my wife got our pickup truck
stuck in a ditch. Worked like a charm.....
