title of the book is "One Good Run, (subtitle) The Legend of Burt Munro."

Page 9:  "Readers will note that Burt begins life as Bert; this is
deliberate, as he only adopted the former spelling after his first journey
to America."

Actually it's Burt Munro (sometimes also spelled "Bert Munro' but
AFAIK it's really Burt). One of my heros.
