Cylinder Liner Fixture tryout is complete and production time is now where it
needs to be.
If you are one of the hot shoe front runners (applause) this might not be for
you. But for about 90% of us, this may be something to consider:
There is a USPS Flat Rate Box that makes shipping easy and cheap.
It looks like the cost per bore and hone will be $25, at the moment.
Cylinder Liners can be sized to YOUR Pistons, if you send them.
If you are running stock rods, they can be checked and reconditioned for
about $10 per rod.
This is what I do for me, and a few of my friends. I will help coordinate
with this engine shop, if there are others that are interested. A fellow John
Deere retiree has the equipment and does performance stock car engines for that
racing community. If he can run a few cylinder liners for us during the slow
season, it works for him.
Larry puzzled over the fixture for a long time and came up with the design
and had a tool die shop make it. It's what Iowans do during long winters.
