     The Eprod race used to be one of the Runoffs showcase events after 
the demise of Dprod. From the late 80's to about 1997 the race was 
mostly clean and competitive with good sportsmanship.
     The conduct started to rapidly deteriorate about the same time as 
the limited prep IT based cars were homologated. A whole new crop of 
competitors showed up who were used to leaning on each other in Regional 
racing. The cars were cheap and quick to build as opposed to the 
traditional production car. If you are not risking as much it is easier 
to take the risk.
     We had a competitor show up here in Eprod with a limited prep car 
in '97 for a double national. By the time the weekend was over he had 
contacted/hit all of the other Eprod cars and most of the cars in his 
group. He did manage to not hit the pace car . He is still out there and 
sometimes puts in a clean race.
