<p class="MsoNormal">I think I know the one you mean, and lip up, if it goes all around, would gap the plate to the bottom leaf, which you do not want.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">So lip down will keep plate and leaf in intimate contact. Lip up would be an opportunity to hold water and dirt as well, which should be avoided.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Why the lip? Hmm, it’d make it stiffer than just a flat plate, can’t think of another reason. (facilitate some assy line tool?)<u></u><u></u></p>
