Here's an e-mail I sent to the group back in 2014:
Hey, All.
I'm getting my car painted, and decided, what the heck, maybe I'll try to
spruce it up on the inside, too, and fix stuff that's broken, like the
radio.
I found this guy in Liverpool, NY - Dave Froehlich. He's amazing. I asked
him what the chances were of him being able to fix my old Toshiba AM radio,
and he e-mailed me back the schematic for it!
Off it goes in a box, along with the speaker and a money order for $65, and
shortly thereafter I get an e-mail with his assessment. Then more e-mails,
keeping me up-to-date on his progress, and even a *movie* to demonstrate
the sound he's getting out of it!
Here it is, back in my house within two weeks. I sent him a note with
another twenty bucks to thank him for being such an attentive service man.
I have never heard this radio in the car, and I'm excited to install it and
pull that antenna up and go back in time, as it seems like AM tends toward
oldies, as well as baseball and weather. What fun this will be.
You would probably make this guy's day by sending him another Datsun radio
- he appears to live for this stuff.

Looking forward to spring, which might still come,
I checked the website and it's still up, so I'm hoping this guy is still in
business!
Good luck.
