Greetings,

I have my 67 2000 in the shop in Austin and am trying to clean up the carbs as well as bring the idle down. FYI: the car has been in storage for a year plus. 

A question to the group:  at the top of the carburetor, shown below, does anything need to be added?

Yes, there are small marks to show levels. Typically use ATF fluid as the lite damping oil?

This 1969 Datsun 1600 roadster was purchased in Sacramento CA.? The car is silver (repainted in mid 90,s) with black vinyl interior (seats were recovered and a dash cap was installed in the mid 90's), and comes with a hard top, soft top, and original toneau cover.? The engine (151k mi.) and four speed transmission are original (numbers match).? Included is a 1969 shop manual, plus miscellaneous manufacturer's literature.? Tachometer stopped last summer and has not been repaired.? Additional information and pictures are available upon request (e mail Mike @ arbcbears at yahoo.com).? Car is located in Sunnyvale CA, and has a clean California title.? Asking price is $16,690.00.

I don't see a picture but if they are SUs you  need a dampner fluid.  I use ATF
