Anyone out there have a 7/16 - 20 (~3 ? ?) rocker arm stud for an early
aluminum 1600 head they can sell me?  Or a source? One of mine is stripped
on the bottom threads.

know where to start, but..... 'if you saw it on the internet it must be 
true'

Agree with Jerry,I remember when the bill to "crush" the old gas guzzle clunkers was going to "destroy" the collector car hobby. Never happened. So lets keep the politics out.Dave

Well, neither do I! But here's a fun story about pins and my roadster....

I drove to the shop on Sunday to pick up a little gift Rob got for me...a
commemorative pin of the new Nissan Z!

This pin is #352/400 made by Leen's Customs in collaboration with Nissan,
solely (Free!) for attendees of the private unveiling of the new Z in
Brooklyn, NY. As soon as Rob told me he grabbed one for me, I knew exactly
where I wanted to put it...on my shoulder harness!

Hello, All.

I had a troubling episode after coming out of the grocery store a while
ago; I could proudly fit all the groceries in the trunk of my 1970 2000,
but I couldn't start the car and keep it running.

Being an ignorant, fearful, and unsure fellow, I called AAA.  Nice guy came
out and figured it was water in the gas, got it going, and it ran fine
after that.  I filled it up on the way home, put my little measure of Fuel
Ox in the tank, and trusted that all would be well now.

Some weeks passed, without me using the car much.  There was a lot of rain,
but the car is always garaged.  Took it out tonight to get it ready for a
ride tomorrow, and darned if I didn't have the same symptoms - couldn't
keep it running.  The tank is a little more than half full.

I know that if the tank is half full the rest must be air, and if it's been
humid, that must be moist air, and water doesn't burn, but really - I've
never had problems like this before.  Am I not driving it enough?

What suggestions might y'all have for me?

Nope, car in garage (so no rain drain) I say no way, but good consideration.
Take it out and intentionally leave it one gear down, keep revs high, heat it up and burn out all residual carbon.

Then figure out if stumbling is when engine is cold or hot.

I am guessing the small fuel hose bridging one carb and another is aged and cracked, so has some split that may open under variable temps.
Cheap fix, and good first step to the cure.

Next suggestion, fuel filter and hose connections there.
