Does it run? Is it rusted? Is it complete or missing parts?Your best bet might be to describe it as best as you can. Take pictures outside, inside, under the hood and if you can bring it to a garage and some photos on the underside on a lift. Was the car kept indoors or outside. What part of the country? If it doesn't run sell "as is" as a project or parts car for the buyer to come and pick up.Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Barrow via Datsun-roadsters To: datsun-roadsters at autox.team.net Sent: Sat, Oct 17, 2020 12:33 pm Subject: [Roadsters] Datsun 1600 Fairlady Hi folks,I'm not sure if this is the right site, but it's a start.? Charge the battery so it's at least 1/2 charged, then take the negative cable off the battery. Put a test light between the battery post and the cable end. If there is a drain, the light will light. Now start removing electrical things until the light goes out. (On a car I pull fuses one at a time.) When the light is out you know which circuit to tackle. That might be enough to get you started. It was driven hard and literally put away wet following the Breakfast Club rally up North 10/10. Allow me to share a little of my OCD ways...I never leave my roadster dirty for more than a day. After a drive I wipe it down with quick-detailer spray. Even if it's not my car, it's what I do. http://www.zcarblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_3846.jpeg So it killed me to see this filthy roadster sitting in my garage, but surprisingly it stayed this way for two weeks as work and a landscaping project kept me occupied. http://www.zcarblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_4232.jpeg http://www.zcarblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_4237.jpeg I finally gave it a wash, the first wash since January of 2019 as the rain/grime was caked on. I took her out for quick drive to dry. Even 15 minutes cruising around was enough to make me smile. I love this roadster. It was like with every gear shift the roadster was telling me "thank you". http://www.zcarblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_4200-1.jpg Now, I am relieved. Especially after washing all the family vehicles too :) #DatsunsAreDriven -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
