Can anyone out there use an early 67 left front fender. It also has the headlight and parking light assemblies with pigtail wiring.Nice shape. California.Let me know.Roy

The further down the years we get with these cars, the more important stock condition is to value – and not just for the rarest variants. Stock condition or period-correct mods enhance value in vintage cars, so they’re not just hot rods.

The year disparity might stem from the general practices of Datsun and California registration back in the day:

California registered vehicles according to the year sold.  My !968 was registered as a 1969 because I bought it in 1969.  Most Fairladys were imported for the California market so the general year disparity could stem from registration practices.  Nissan (Datsun)
 was not consistent on how cars were equipped.  Some had marker lights and some did not (Datsun was very concerned on the new (DOT) rules) the padded dash after 67 1/2 satin headlight surrounds and marker lights were all tied into the problem. They were all
 equipped by boat load.  I have always thought that that we should call them “from the “aki Maru” arrival Long Beach November 1970”.

I would cut the owner some slack in the year designation but

The paint is horrible

Engine compartment is bad (a couple of hours cleanup could increase the value by 1000

15,500  is clearly too much.

How long has the rust prone car been in a beach community in Alabama (get one from Calif. Or Arizona).

His rare padded dash is one of the plastic overlays on the same cracked dash we all have.

Still nice to see
