for fun I asked him if it was really a 1.6 liter and a 4 speed.

Shift plate shows  a 4 spd. If it were a 5 spd the plate is ahead of the shifter.

May also have had some sheet metal work in the back end. Look at the weird angle of the lower taillights.

Move past this one at that price point.

  1965 Datsun Fairlady Convertible
    This one is in NJ.  Listed as a '65 with a 2.0 liter 135HP engine & 5 speed.  The photo shows a R16 under the hood, and a VIN tag that says 1595cc.  I guess it could have a 5 speed.
