I  suspect someone got a reproduction VIN plate. put an early motor in the car and stamped it with the engine number but no chassis VIN, and passed it off as a pre-68 car.

Regardless, that firewall is from a '67-1/2 or later, and the windshield posts/windshield frame are from a '68 or later.  I don't know how they call it a '67.

  I can't remember which one, but either SVRA or HSR only allow cars from 1967 and back to race.  But they do allow more recent modifications for safety purposes, i.e., dual circuit brakes.

  Extensively modified interior makes it hard to determine what year it started out as.  Even the tail panel has been replaced.

  But the front valance appears to be an early model and the seats look early.  Appears to not have side windows.  Might be fun to drive (stroked 1600), but I'm not sure I'd want it as a 'street' car.
