[Roadsters] must have dropped a loop of the "1600", but the visuals?

Judging by the length and the angle cut on the chrome trim, I suspect it
might be the rear fender trim.

OK, knowledgeable eyes, I don't get this one.

Chrome trim at bottom of door?
Are tops of doors that crooked?  It looks offset, color change throwing off
the eye?
