I remember that too, it was televised. And the interesting thing is that it
was basically an F1 Cooper with a F2 Coventry Climax 2.5L four, way down on
power compared to the ubiquitous Offy.
The front engine roadsters all had one line through the corners but Brabham
could go anywhere, high or low passing in the corners and getting blown away
on the straights.

I recall Jack Brabham driving the first rear engine car at the Indy 500,
1960-62 time frame. A milestone in Indy car and F1 racing.
