[Roadsters] Fuel bowl

Graeme,

The filter bowl will not fill fully unless you bleed the air out of it. Same
goes for disposable filters, unless the outlet is at the highest point. As
long as fuel flows through the filter having a lower level of fuel in it is
not a proglem.

Peace,
Pat

I made a new thick cork gasket and pressure B tested the assembly but I
still only get 1/2 the bowl filled with gas. Is that normal?

Roy, I found that after you THINK you have a nice straight surface on the
alloy housing for the bowl and gasket to seal against, give it the
compressed air test.
Block one of the pipe connections and pressurize the assembly either by
mouth or a bike tyre pump and check for leaks, preferably under water.
If it passes bubbles then it will suck air into the fuel line, not at all
helpful.
I have about 3 alloy fittings and the were all deformed from the tension put
on the alloy by the bowl retaining clamp.

Graeme S.
