[Roadsters] Towing with a tow dolly

If going a long distance
with my roadster on a dolly, I would have concerns about the 5 speed
transmission possibly getting warm, the reason why is that the counter or
cluster gears are in the bottom where all the gear oil is sitting and the
Cluster gear will not be rotating and transferring the gear oil on to the main
shaft parts. The synchro slider rings, the ones that the shift forks slide
into and synchro hubs rotate with the main shaft and will pick up some of the
oil but not like it is designed to be, which is being bathed in oil when this
are rotating.
     Plus while being towed in Neutral the main shaft and
bearings are rotating inside of 1st,2nd,3rd, 5th gear hubs while the gears
hubs are not moving, and same for the pocket needle bearing that is inside of
the input shaft, all this while the angle of the transmission being nose high
from being on the dolly. Just my opinion and thoughts after reading this
thread...Bill
