Yes the caps dry up from heat and old age. And the speaker paper gets
brittle. I think it's great you're fixing up the original factory radio.
Around here I listen to baseball color on a 50,000 watt AMer, WBAL. There
is something correct about hearing a game on AM turned up loud.
