Gordon,

On my '69 stroker I purchased a set of Momo EStart seats from Crowder's in
SC ( http://www.crowderscustomizing.com ). I don't think Momo makes these
any more, but places still stock them. 5 years ago the seats were $262.50
ea plus the adjustable bases at $59.95 ea. Looks like these seats are up to
$337.50 ea from this vendor.

I decided on these base on a rec from a friend who tracks a 1st gen Miata
and these fit in one of those, so... it fits in the 1600, barely. The
shoulder wing is right up against the door. Search for a post on 311s under
"Doug and Laura" called "It's back..." there are some photos.

Subject: [Roadsters] Question about aftermarket seats

Hi, gang. I'm trying to find some aftermarket fixed-back seats for my car,
and I'm having trouble finding any that are narrow enough to fit,
particularly in the shoulder area. I bought a pair of Corbeau Forza seats
but it turns out that the shoulder "wings" are so wide they hang out over
the edge of the door. And this is one of the narrower seats that Corbeau
makes. I'm now looking at the Corbeau Clubman, which is narrower but gives
up a lot of shoulder-area support, but it might still be a tight fit.

One other complication is that my car has a roll bar with a cross-brace, so
the headrest can't extend back under the hoop.

What seats have any of you put in? My priority is one that has lots of
lateral support and is set up for a 5-point harness.
