[Roadsters] Wiring harness, 1600 vs 2000?

Paul,

I have little experience with the high-windshield cars, but I think that,
electrically, the 1600 and the 2000 are the same, with the exception of the
lead wire for the temperature sensor that "Shifty" mentioned. However,
Nissan does list different part numbers for the 1600 and 2000 instrument
harnesses produced in the same time frames, i.e., "to June 1969". The 1969
wiring harnesses came in two flavors -- one for the first half of the year
and one for the second half of the year. The differences could be very
subtle, though, like a single connector. At some point in the '69 time
frame, they did go to three-wire taillamps, and wired them so the brake
activated both upper and lower lights, and the turn signals flashed both
upper and lower. That had to have involved some wiring differences under
the dash.

FWIW, but remember, I don't know much about the later cars.

Gary
