[Roadsters] Treasure in the shed

Hello friends,

Yesterday after church we drove the big old flatbed truck to my
grandfather's home. The goal was to bring back the rest of the roadster
parts so we can get the car back up to speed. One of the things we found was
my childhood toy box. It had been hand painted safety orange (a project with
my grandfather when I was about 8) and then decorated with racing stickers I
collected over the next half dozen years.

 

Inside the box were treasures from my past. Saved copied of Mad Magazine,
Hot Rod, Drag Racing News.... Then there was one more that stood out. It is
a Datsun Roadster Review, April 1985 from the Datsun Roadster Association.
This wonderful little magazine was edited by Ross Mullen and full of
roadster details. There are advertisements from Rally Enterprises, Roadster
Restoration in Freemont, B.R.E. and others. The centerfold has an
announcement for the July 13-14 1985 West coast meet in Mount Shasta.

 

In the classifieds there are several roadsters like a 64 1500 for $600, a
one owner 68 all original for $2800 and a fully restored 64 for $3800.

 

I wonder if anyone has taken the time to scan these old magazines and share
them on the net. I will be happy to donate this one to the effort if someone
can post it somewhere.
