Gordon,

It won't work.  The gear sets are made as matched pairs.  The tooth 
angles work together.  There are 4.11 gear sets out there.  There are 
also 4.38 sets out there.  Setting up differential gear mesh is one 
of the jobs that requires some art in addition to skill to accomplish.
