I've also heard that there was a standard 500-mile maintenance for Tigers:
Re-tighten every bolt in the car... ;^)

They had what, the Ford 260 V-8 was it?

Be careful the Tiger owners would be dismayed to be compared to an alpine.
Tigers had a V8 (in an alpine body) and were quite speedy.  My 2000 was not
a match ofi them on a straight line when it was new.
