There is no doubt that modern cars are safer to drive - (brakes,crumple
zones,airbags etc.) - but are they FUN?? One of the things I love about the
roadster is it's period primitiveness (and I think the lines are GREAT) - no
electronics, essentially simple maintenance with a wealth of backup in case i
t isn't that simple, great parts supply (thanks vendors), great information
from the owners. I recently drove a friend's 2007 Bentley, quiet, powerful and
frankly boring. Probably get's exciting at 160+, but at 125 (for a bit) - you
aren't even aware - roadster at 100 - you are involved
(road,noise,wind,vibration) - exhilaration - same for other cars of the period
- but I prefer the roadster. Maybe a lotus might tempt me.
