[Roadsters] Cams

I have some questions about cams.I have been told the it is time to replace my
standard cam. I understand that they are no longer available. Has anyone had
one welded and reground? How did that work out? Anything to look out for? was
it cost effective?Since I can't get a new cam I will have to go to a B cam.
Being a SU guy will I see any difference when I switch cams? Dana S 1969 2000
