Item #330744461508 does not exist.
Only overdrive trans listed by seller db_vintageas is Item #330762769194,
which is for a 1975 Triumph Spitfire. Since you mention "my British car
mechanic", I'm guessing this was not for a Datsun roadster.
The only Datsun stuff in his store is for Z's.
Seller has 97.3-percent Positive Feedback, though that is no guarantee.

OK Datsun roadsters have no overdrive transmissions. What car was this for?
Maybe you got duped or maybe just wishfull thinking. I have had wonderfull
experience on ebay. Only got screwed once in 400 transactions.Even bought
and sold cars. Did you look at his feedback? Just maybe you leaned into it.
Just food for thought

A couple of weeks ago I purchased an overdrive tranny on ebay. The price was
eally good b that should have been my first clue. He showed a picture of he
car, not the tranny. Should have been my second clue.
did a buy it now, and then asked him if I could have the driveshaft and
verdrive switch as well, to which he agreed, for an additional $65. Weeks
ent by, and finally the tranny (only the tranny) arrived. he claimed the
riveshaft was the short shaft, part of the tranny, and that it was included.
ots of email back and forth, and ultimately a complaint on my part to
paypal, ince that was outside of the ebay sale. To which he finally agreend
to return y money, only he sent me the money, not as a refund, so I lost the
fee paypal harges.
he transmission, which was advertised as rebuit 500 miles ago, was not. the
nput shaft was wobbly, and my British car mechanic, who certainly knows
hese, said there was no way it had been rebuilt in the last 500 miles. So I
omplained to him, and he offered to return my money if I sent back the
ransmission. I felt he had totally lied to me, and I didnbt trust him, so I
omplained to ebay. They opened a case, and agreed to refund only my initial
oney, if I returned the transmission with a confirmation of delivery. So I
id.
hen I discovered that ebay considers confirmation of delivery valid ONLY if
here is a signature. Which we didnbt have. So ebay welched, this guy elched,
and Ibm out $550 for the initial deal and another $150 for hipping. And a
few bucks for the paypal mishap.
he ebay item is: 330744461508
he guys addresses are:
address on invoice is:
DB Business Holdings
372 E Third Street
Corning, N.Y. 14830
ddress on crate is:
Jason Doughty
2475 Brown Hollow Road
Corning, N.Y. 14830
607-346-3605
nd the guys email address is dbbizholdings at gmail.com
is ebay id is db_vintageas
f you google DB Business Holdings you will see it is more of a
hipping/warehouse company.
now see he has relisted it and will rip off someone else.
O NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY!!!!!
