The 2000 lower foot tensioner is supposed to have an oil hole in it but no
crack. Talk to Stan he's got them that's where I got mine.

Subject: [Roadsters] Lower Chain Tensioner Needed

I am changing both timing chains in Mr. Hyde. For reasons I don't
understand the upper chain has stretched to the point where it is
hitting the Evil L after only 18,000 miles. It is a chain manufactured
in England, so I don't know what the quality of the metal is compared to
an OEM chain.

In the process of putting things back together I was getting the lower
tensioner ready to install and it squirted oil out of the face of the
chain guide. It's not supposed to do that. Closer inspection found a
small hole and crack in the face of the guide.

Does anyone have a lower timing chain tensioner for the U20 or R16
engine? Or just the guide alone? If so would you please contact me off
of the list?
