[Roadsters] new (old) top

hi.

I purchased a top in 2004. I'm sure I'm the only one who ends up taking this
long to get the car to a state where I can actually install it!

the top has been unopened, in the box, since july of 2004 (I just looked at
the shipping label). its been stored in various dry places of various
temperatures (this is Dallas).

any thoughts on procedure starting with opening the box for the first time?
