[Roadsters] performance improvements

hi.

I'm adding webers to my early 67, and a mild cam.  the head has already been
shaved.

I'd like to also do some handling improvements.  I have wider wheels and tires
already.

I see some lowering stiffer springs, etc.

anyone have recommendations?   I'm not an autocrosser, but I like to drive my
cars hard.

also - any reason not to run a larger pipe through the frame (I guess it would
have to be oval?) instead of having that sudden restriction just beyond the
header?
