Fergus,
Are you using an AGM compatible charger?  A standard charger may not
bring it 
back to life.  Optima has a proceedure for bringing back to life
highly 
discharged batteries.  Look on the Support FAQ on their sight.

On 311 they mentioned some kind of battery tender that can supposedly
bring
back quite dead batteries.

Connection to seller?  Absolutely, very
biased opinion.  I have been
chasing this car thru the twisties for years, and
watching / pitching in
2 cents (adjusted for inflation and my own stupidity)
as it has been
sorted out.
The sound of it spooling up coming out of a tight
switchback is
something akin to a blast from the trombone section in a Benny
Goodman
era big band.    Intoxicating. (even as you are realizing, "I got
spanked on this corner too")
Selling to thin the herd. (aka: make room for new
projects, possibly?!)
