[Roadsters] EI Distributor Advance or not?

Given the fact that U20 Solex equipped cars never came with vac advance, is capping off the vac advance on a SU non smog curved dist the same as having a Solex one that comes without it? Reason I ask is I am running Quad Mikuni MC on my car and have about 36 degrees all in by about 3k rpm w/capped off line. Thanks, Roaster guys and gals
