[Roadsters] 2 questions; 3 pictures

the top picture is a part I have, which I assumed is the reverse switch?  it
is tested and working btw

is it the same part as the second picture, which is obviously in the
car/tranny?

second question b 3rd picture b there are two pairs of holes (this is
looking down between the grill and the radiator on an early 67 roadster)

what are they for?
