>From personal experience, the gas is probably bad. I would drain the gas
tank, and refill with a couple gallons of fresh, new gas. Replace the fuel
filter(s), too. Change the oil & oil filter.
However, it still should turn over and sound like it's firing. If not
turning over, ignition/starter circuit. If turning over, but not firing,
pull a plug, hold it near the block, and have someone turn the key (or get a
remote starter switch). Spark?
Other than this post stating dead battery, you really haven't provided any
information other than "it won't start."
And a '68 what? 1600? 2000?
Pete

Here it what is going on so far. The roadster has set, covered, for about
year and a half. I did an initial once over in the engine compartment to
make sure that there was no obvious issues, no oil on the ground, leakage
etc. I checked the water level in the radiator and when I took off the
radiator cap it was under pressure, so I am guessing that it is a good sign.
I tried to start the car and got nothing. Yes the battery was completely
dead. I have had the battery on a charger and will put it back in tomorrow.
With that said, do you have any suggestions on steps that I should take
before trying to turn it over.
Thanks in advance.
Chuck

I have a 68 Datsun, spent several thousand (almost $8k at Currys near
Dulles) getting it to run back in 2006, had over heating issues for a number
of years then deployed to Afghanistan for a year. Now I am back and can't
get it to start. I don't know if the engine has seized over the last winter
or what.
