[Roadsters] OT: The mysterious goodness of original Armor All

The only car I had that the dash cracked was a 1968 Datsun Roadster. I could
not believe it - the thing actually cracked, even after using Armor All :)

When I had the Miata top replaced at a large upholstery shop, I asked them
about Armor All and such products. They said to stay away from silicon based
products. So, I went home and canceled my wife's breast implant operation....

For All,

I remember a thread in here a year or so that almost got violent about how
bad
Armor All vinyl protectant was, and then the conversation went on for quite
some time about what was best....so please hold the anger, just wanted to
make
an observation:

I just sold my 22 year old Jeep Comanche Pickup truck. This black truck
never
spent more than a week in the garage over the last 22 years, and has been
parked in Florida, South Texas, and Virginia for most of its life. Dash and
various vinyl parts care has been limited to one or two treatments per year
of
a quick wipe with armor all.

No cracks in the dash, no splits in the vinyl. Yep, it periodically had to
have the inside windows cleaned, once or twice per year, but overall I would
say that this stuff works quite well.
