I used a plastic wire tie, they come in different widths and thicknesses in
relation to your slop. The great plus is that you don't have to take the
tensioner out! If they wear out, oh well theyr'e plastic!

Mates,
I'm not happy with how much slop my upper chain tensioner has at low idle. I
know that some people put spacers on the shaft of the tensioner so to take up
some of this slop. Two questions:
1) What do people do about low idle tensioner slop?
2) Does anyone know what the diameter of that shaft is?
3) What materials work well as spacers (oil/heat resistant) and soft enough
that they won't damage the tensioner?
