[Roadsters] resto mod look on the cheap

We built parts of Mike's car... but most of it was built in his shop. Mike lives right around the corner from me, so I was over there during most of the build helping in one capacity or another... he and I have been close friends for over 20-years, so when it came time to build his car, it got the full treatment!
The Resto-Mod look on Mike's car, or James' 67, or Eric's white 69, or any number of the other ones we have built does not come cheap. It is all about paint, wheels/tires, and stance (and a SR20 under the hood of course!) Wheel choice is critical to making it look right, and the off-the-shelf Panasports are not the answer.
Budget? That is a very difficult one to answer, budget anywhere from $10-100,000 It all comes down to what you are capable of doing yourself, and how high your standards are. If you have to pay someone to do it, then the budget goes out the window...
The investments on these cars both financially and time-wise are significant... The trick is to find the balance of what works for you, gets you the look or performance that you are striving for, and still leaves you enough time and money so you can get out and enjoy the ride.
Your mileage may vary...

I believe Spriso built Braaten's roadster.

Lately I have been toying with the idea of going with a "pro-touring theme"
for the roadster(69 SRL)
I don't think I have the budget for a full blown Spriso car.. but I would
like to lower it to improve the handling and add 15" wheels anyone know
what the cost to build a car like Mike Braatens?
Matt
