[Roadsters] Smoker?

A friend at the office who used to be a mechanic suggested running trans
fluid thru the carbs...any thoughts on this?

 I've had a piece of carbon get underneath valves all the time. 60% of the
diagnosed valve jobs were dirt underneath valves. Before I tore down a motor
I would run a qt. of trans fluid through the carb. at high speeds. That
cleans the motor very well. If it ends up not taking care of it at least the
internal motor is cleaner to work with.
