[Roadsters] Trying to decide on an oil

Most of the debate on Oil is complete BS.
Consumer Reports did a study on motor oil a few years back. They took
over 100 taxi cabs in NY city. Completely disassembled the motors, and
measured the clearances. Then they reassembled them, and began a strict
oil change regiment on each car.
Here's the end results:
Cars that had their oil changed every 3,000, 6,000 or even 9,000 miles
showed NO DIFFERENCE in the amount of wear after 100,000 miles.
Different brands of oil showed NO DIFFERENCE.
Synthetic vs regular, NO DIFFERENCE.
Basically their summation was that all oil is relatively the same, that
the extra cost for synthetic isn't worth it, and that much of the "hype"
about oil is simply that. HYPE.
