I'll second the suggestion made by Linda. Gas Tank RENU
http://www.gastankrenu.com/ redid my tank several years ago and their work is
truly outstanding. A bit pricey but worth every penny I paid and then some.

Best regards,

  Subject: [Roadsters] Gas tank repair?

Is there any hope for a gas tank with a loose baffle sliding around inside?
The tank from my '69 2000 is otherwise sound and rust-free inside (and out).
I took it down to clean it out and replace the straps and discovered that it
has a welded patch near one corner that appears well done and without issue.
However, inside the tank I found that someone had carefully put a terry hand
towel on the bottom in an attempt to stop the loose baffle from rattling.
I've fished out the towel but still have the errant baffle. Is this tank
savable? I think I could clean it out and re-install it but the clatter from
the loose baffle would be very annoying. Ideas? Affordable tank for sale?

  Thanks,
