Really?
I didn't mean have the plugs in there while he turned the engine over! I meant
have the old plugs in there while he is still working on the motor. I assumed
when he said he dropped a bolt in the cylinder it was while working on it not
while turning the engine over. I also assume a certain amount of intelligence
(more than I have) and common sense on this list and thought that (pulling
plugs BEFORE turning engine over) was implied.
Maybe there is a hygiene problem here and they need to work on keeping the
area cleaner?

If you do, you'll get compression and loads before you get oil up.

I'd over the area with cloth. Don't stick cloth in the holes, it will be
blown
out or drawn in.
