I can't speak for other states, but I recently got a new title for an old car.? I got a '61 Studebaker from Massachusetts with no title, just a bill of sale.? At the time of it's last registration, titles were not required for old cars.? It took some going back and forth with the DMV, and some phone calls to the state DMV, but eventually I just had to show that a title was not required in the state I purchased from.? I showed them a printout from the Mass. website and?Missouri issued me a new title in my name.
