I've always read the pullers are better than pushers.

I run a pusher on the front side of the radiator on my 2000 with a manual
activation switch. It is nice for running in stop and go summer traffic and
it has no problem with clearance. Even with my "air horns" located in the
same general area. HOOOONNNNNNK HOOOOONNNK get out of my way, here comes
the little Datsun.

Subject: [Roadsters] Electric Fan Question

I am thinking about changing to an electric fan on Mr. Hyde.

Looking through the wrecking yard this morning I found a number of likely
candidates but I have a question about push or pull fans. There is a lot of
room ahead of the radiator to install a push type radiator fan and I would
not need to look at modifying the water pump shaft. Is there any problem
with a push fan rather than a pull fan behind the radiator, which is what I
usually see?

What temperature should the fan temperature switch be if I mount it on the
thermostat cover where I already have an unsued threaded port for this
switch?
