A dual master is functionally two separate systems if it's working
properly, and I understand that's a big "if". The front and rear
systems are independent but there's often leakage between the two
because the seal in the middle of the dual M/C piston (supposed to
separate the front & rear system) is leaking, the bore of the M/C is
corroded or both. My Roadster's brakes have had minimal attention in
the 3 or 4 years I've owned it and I need to pull the drums and check
the wheel cylinders for leakage, disassemble and check the M/C (plus
install the firewall brace) and flush and adjust the system. I expect
I'll be pleasantly surprised at how well the brakes work once this is
all done.
