My dad worked on the blackbird from almost inception until it was retired. I have seen it take off up close and personal---well, as close as one can get on the flight like without getting shot by the MPs. And yes, very wicked indeed.
Off to Bayfield, WI for a work trip. Ugh, long bloody drive.

And it's the only place I know of where you can walk around a Blackbird. For
a plane that doesn't even have weapons, it just looks wicked!
