Are the parts two Z shaped stainless strips?
Methinks they are P/N#47 and 49 in attachment.
By co-incidence, there is a discussion on this very topic on 311s.org atm.

They are rivetted to the end frames. and provide the surface for mounting
weatherstrip P/N#57.
