[Roadsters] Anyone done a conversion from early roadster brakes

Hi Gary,

I did this conversion a few years ago on a 1967 Datsun roadster using the pocket and pedal assembly out of a 67.5.

The area that was being cut out was carefully measured (not to interfere with the strengthing ribs in on the top) and was cut away with a plasma cutter:

Note: This car was converted to an automatic, so the pocket was moved over a little more to eliminate the clutch pedal!

The pocket was then welded in:

The welds were ground down and a couple firewall braces were added:

99% of the people who look at the car never realize that it was converted!
