How long will liquid hydrogen stay liquid in a roadster tank?

Maybe that is why they are working so hard on fuel cells.

With a little research I came up with the following numbers.
Hydrogen is 980.6 BTU/Lb.
Gasoline is 125,000 BTU/Lb.
It will take 127.5 gallons of liquid hydrogen to equal 1 gallon of gas.
If you try to generate hydrogen from water you need 14.13 gallons of water
to
get 1 gallon of Hydrogen.
To get the same amount of energy from 1 gallon of gas you would need to
convert
1801 gallons of water to Hydrogen.

How far did you say Shasta was from your house?

The hydrogen gas generator is installed in Mr. Hyde in a very temporary
manner until I know whether or not the system meets my expectations or not.
If the system works as advertised I will design a proper management system
and install it in place of the manual power control I am current using. I
am looking forward to seeing what happens on the way South to Shasta. I
will be interested in seeing how Keith's exhaust gas measurements will
read
the output of the exhaust. Pictures on the TECH pages of datsun2000.com.,

I'll be there. Looking forward to checking it out. I suspect I know how it

will turn out but I'll keep an open mind.
