Roadsters can also tend to run lean due to worn throttle shafts etc.
Lean engines run hotter, thus potentially overheating a 'too hot'
plug which can lead to pre-ignition and/or melted plug tips.
It's a trade off. Always a trade off.
I run BP6ES. I'm happy.
