I've been using Rain-X for years. I've found I can run at freeway 
speeds, at night, in the rain with no wipers and the view is great. My 
only complaints with Rain-X are the pain of application (polishing) 
and how quickly it loses its effectiveness when you follow an oil-
burner for a couple of miles. That includes 18 wheelers. 

STP had a somewhat similar product a few years ago. It was much 
easier to apply, but it cost a small fortune. Good news? It didn't mind 
oil-burners. Bad news? I can't find it anymore.
