[Roadsters] OT: Vintage car ID?

I have a photo with a front-end view of a car from
the 1920-30s, and I need help with the car ID. (I
know who the guy is.)

It looks sort of like a 1930 Packard, but there are
some differences from web images I've been able to find.

This datsun list is my principal conduit to the automotive
web world, and I know you all have a wide range of experience
and expertise, so I thought to check here first. Any help or
clues will be appreciated.
